Ore Research & Exploration Pty Ltd (ORE) is an Australian-based company specialising in the development of low cost certified reference materials (CRMs) for the mining and exploration industry. ORE combines a blend of innovative technology with world’s best practices to maintain its position as a leading producer of reference materials.
ORE has extensive experience in the preparation and certification of a diverse range of geological reference materials of economic importance, including ores of gold, silver, platinum group elements, copper, nickel, silver-lead-zinc, iron, uranium, tungsten, molybdenum, rare earth elements, manganese, phosphate, limestone and talc.
Ore Research & Exploration Pty Ltd was founded in 1986 by Dr Paul Hamlyn in Melbourne, Australia and first commenced production of CRMs in 1988. Dr Hamlyn, has over 20 years experience in the preparation and certification of CRMs. He has extensive experience in research at Columbia University, USA (petrology of the oceanic lithosphere) and Melbourne University, Australia (gold and platinum group element geochemical investigations) and has 25 years experience as a consulting geologist.
As Managing Director of Ore Research & Exploration, Paul leads a team of highly trained geologists and dedicated technical staff in the preparation and certification of high quality OREAS and custom CRMs for an extensive list of clients worldwide.
